The first half of the fifties, Czechoslovakia, Prague. Stanislav Láník is a talented actor. However, his position affects the staff profile. The father died in the resistance, the mother was killed after a neighbor was accused of allegedly collaborating with the Germans. All he had left was sister Agnes and grandmother. But he doesn't want to give up his dream of a big theater.
