Claire Bennett, 19, is an intelligent, high-spirited young woman, still reeling from the sudden death of her father. Claire lives with her mother, Jenn Bennett, 45, a nurse who spends her spare time researching her heritage on Ancestry. Jenn becomes fascinated when one of her searches turns up an unclaimed Wisconsin cabin in Claire's name. When Claire and Jenn go to investigate, they find themselves entwined in a magical adventure. We go back to World War II, when the cabin was occupied by Claire's grandmother, Nell Parker, a British spy who served in Winston Churchill's Psychological Warfare Department, formed to counter Nazi Germany's fascination with the occult. Nell Parker joined the American forces, led by Sergeant Aaron Crabtree, when they assaulted Hitler's secret police to confiscate the world's largest collection of priceless occult artifacts.
